Sweetback Sisters

"I wouldn’t call us a throwback band," says Emily Miller. "What we do is look back to the golden era of country music and imagine that the genre took a different evolutionary fork, that the honky-tonk element took over rather than the pop-rock sound you hear everywhere today. I feel like we're actually a very modern band, just on an alternate timeline."

GORGEOUS GIRL-ON-GIRL HARMONIES OVER SWELL HONKY-TONK MELODIES... TRUST US: THESE GUYS ARE BRILLIANT!"                              -NBC NEW YORK

“...TRUE TO THE ROOTS OF EARLY COUNTRY, BRISTLES WITH THE ENERGY OF THE VERY BEST YOUNG AMERICAN PERFORMERS."                               -SING OUT!

Shakespeare's Insults, Language, and More

This workshop is lead by Juilliard Drama Faculty, Deborah Hecht, and NYC Teaching Artist: Vivian Kurutz.  The extensive backgrounds of these two instructors span from Broadway to Hollywood to London's Royal Shakespeare Company to bringing theater to the public schools in NYC.  We are truly delighted and grateful to have Deborah and Vivian come for this workshop, which will be as fun as it is informative.  West Fulton has never been so lucky!  Space is limited.
